Scope and purpose
This guide helps you get started using the various tools included with the ModusToolbox™ tools package by providing a quick introduction to creating and building an application.
Download/install software
Go to the ModusToolbox™ Setup program webpage and download the tool for your operating system. Follow instructions in the ModusToolbox™ software installation guide to install the Setup program and the minimum required software packages.
Launch IDE or Dashboard
When the Setup program finishes, use one of the buttons to launch VS Code or Eclipse, or for other IDEs launch the Dashboard. Each of these has a way to launch the Project Creator tool. To learn more, refer to the applicable user guide:
Develop the application
When the project creation process completes, the application will open in VS Code or Eclipse if you started from one of those IDEs. If you used the Dashboard to open Project Creator, then there is a success message in the console, and you can close the Project Creator tool and the Dashboard.
You can begin developing your application in your preferred IDE. Links to the VS Code and Eclipse user guides are listed above.
