Using InfineonSpice

Using InfineonSpice

This chapter provides an overview of the product's features and provides detailed instructions for the usage.

Work environment
InfineonSpice has a single window in which tools and data are presented similar to an IDE in tiled specialized views.
Project structure
Work in InfineonSpice is organized in projects. A project contains all needed schematics as well as imported or locally created components for use in the circuits.
Setting up a project
Setting up a project ensures that all required elements for the design are available.
Working with schematics
Schematics can be configured much like real-world circuits. When they are finished, their operation can be simulated.
Working with symbols
Symbols represent components in schematics. You can create and modify symbols for local components in the symbol editor.
Creating a local component
Local components are custom parts that you can use in schematics. They are a combination of a netlist subcircuit and a symbol.
Setting up a simulation
Simulations are set up by specifying the desired parameters for them in the Simulation Environment view.
Running a simulation
When a schematic has been set up, it can be simulated. This automatically creates the required netlist, saves the simulation results, and displays them for analysis in the Waveform Viewer.
Evaluating simulations
Simulations are evaluated in InfineonSpice’s Waveform Viewer module by examining the plots from the simulated values.
Data sharing
InfineonSpice offers a variety of ways to import data, export data, and share data between projects and team members.
