This getting started guide shows how to work with the InfineonSpice design environment and waveform viewer.

When you have installed InfineonSpice and start it for the first time, you are presented with the design environment:

The main areas of the window are:

  1. Work area, in which you can display and edit schematics, symbols, and other documents. If no document is open, it displays helpful links and tips.
  2. Workspace, which organizes your projects and their elements.
  3. Model libraries, which contain components that you can use to construct schematics.
  4. Simulation setup, in which you can configure and run simulations.
  5. Output window, which displays messages and logging information.

In a typical workflow, you create the schematics in the workspace and edit them in the work area. If you need any custom components, you also create them in the workspace and edit them in the work area.

When the schematic is ready, you set up the parameters for the simulation and run the simulation. The results of simulations are displayed and analyzed in a separate window, which is not shown above.

The elements of he main window are described in detail in Windows and views.

The rest of this guide walks you through this workflow, using a simple schematic as an example.
