Which Infineon components are available to your projects is managed in the Download Manager.

About this task

The online Model Store contains representations for a wide range of Infineon components which you can import into

InfineonSpice

to make them available for all of your projects.

Use the Download Manager to manage the Infineon components on your workstation by adding components of interest, removing those that you no longer want to use in your designs, and updating already downloaded component models when new revisions become available.

Procedure

  1. Open the Download Manager by clicking the

    button in the

    Model Libraries

    view.

    You can also press Ctrl+Alt+D.

    The

    Download Manager

    window opens.

For an overview of the Download Manager, see

    Working with the Download Manager

    .

  2. If you want to import additional components, select and download them.

    1. Select the containers that contain the desired components.

To select an individual container, check it in the list of containers on the left. Click a container to see the components it contains in the component list on the right.

To select all components in the list, click the

      Select All

      button.

You can filter the displayed components in various ways:

      • To view only a particular product category, click the appropriate tab (such as MOSFET).

      • To view components, check Components; to view circuits, check Circuits. To hide components that do not have automotive applications, check Automotive only.

      • To filter the display of containers in the list, enter text into the "Search" field at the top. The component list displays only containers whose names include the filter text.

    2. Click Download.

This downloads all selected component models to your local copy of

      InfineonSpice

. They are listed in the Infineon Components section of the Model Libraries and are available in all projects.

  3. If you want to delete a downloaded container, click its Delete button (

    ).

    1. Click the

      Installed

      tab.

While you can delete downloaded components in the Model Store tab in the same way, doing so in the Installed tab is usually easier.

    2. If desired, filter the displayed list of containers as described above.

    3. For each container that you want to remove from your local installation, click the

button to the right of its name. (If the

button is shown, click that first and then

      .)

This removes the container and all its components from your copy of InfineonSpice. If you want to reverse this decision later, you can do so by downloading the container again.

  4. If you want to update component models you have already downloaded, click their Update buttons ().
    1. Click the

      Installed

      tab.

While you can update downloaded components in the

      Model Store

tab in the same way, doing so in the

      Installed

      tab is usually easier.

    2. If desired, filter the displayed list of containers as described above .

    3. For each container that you want to update, click the

button to the right of its name.

This downloads the most recent component models for all components in the container. All placed versions of this component in projects are updated, as well.

      If no

button is shown for a container, no update for it is available in the model store.
