Setting up a project

Setting up a project ensures that all required elements for the design are available.

About this task

Set up the project when you create a new project or when an existing projects is missing some required components.

You can perform some or all of the steps described below when setting up a project.

If the project does not yet exist in the Workspace view, create it as described in Creating a new project.
If required components are missing, add them to the project.
A new project always contains the basic components that InfineonSpice supports. In addition, you can:
- Add Infineon components, as described in Managing Infineon and third-party components.
- Create local components that exist only within the project, as described in Creating a local component.
If the project requires more than one circuit, add any missing ones.
Each new project already contains one empty schematic (circuit). You can add schematics in several ways:
- Create a new schematic as described in Creating a new schematic.
- Import an existing schematic from a custom container as described in Custom containers.
- Reuse an existing schematic from another project by copying it as described in Creating schematics.
- Duplicate an existing schematic in the project as described in Creating schematics.

The project contains the elements you need to work with the circuits.

Build the circuits as described in Working with schematics.
